Lately, there have been a lot of people that I need to thank for a huge increase in fans of my YouTube Channel.
- First of all, there’s all the people that came to the Robot Riley Space Adventure Variety Show on Tuesday. Thanks thanks thanks again.
- Next, there’s HouseholdHacker. They’re a couple of guys who are pretty big on the youtube scene. They make these awesome fake scientific DIY videos, and one of them was nominated for a YouTube award. How do I fit in? Well, these guys were nice enough to feature Party at Riley’s on their main channel page, exposing my seltzer covered face to about 50,000 of their subscribers. Usually, a new video gets about 100-200 views per day for the first week of a video’s release. Party at Riley’s got 4,000 views in one day on HouseholdHacker’s channel. It now has around 6,500 views, which means that Star Trek Guy (6,400 views) is no longer my most popular video. But Then….
- Last night, I found out that my cousin Trey was getting a lot of new fans and exposure on ModBlog. (Warning! I’ll show you the link, but the site banner features a gentleman hanging from several hooks in his chest. It’s a very tasteful photo that’s not really over the top, but if you’re not into that [or if you’re at work] then maybe don’t click on the link. Here’s me on ModBlog) It turns out that a very popular blog devoted to the body modification subculture really digs the ‘WHAT’ and Snake Bite tattoos. For one, I didn’t expect to get so many nice comments by mocking a bunch of tatoo enthusiasts, but here’s the crazy part: Tats n’ ‘Toos has been getting maybe ten views a day for months. And it just got over 4,000 views in a single day, doubling it’s overall views! Exciting! Seems like 4,000 is my magic number these days. I can’t wait to see what next week’s paycheck is going to look like.
