Question

bubblebathosbands asked: what song did you think was about you the first time you heard it?

You ask tough questions that are fun to think about.

I’m a generally happy guy, but I think it’s easier for me to identify with lyrics that aren’t. I don’t know why.

-Fight Test by the Flaming Lips comes to mind. I bought this album in middle school. It’s the first track. I listened to the lyrics and I remember thinking, “I feel like this sometimes.” I still do sometimes.

-Getting into the Beatles has been mostly an awesome and rewarding thing. I say mostly because The Beatles are also responsible for one of the most frustrating music listening experiences of my life. The first time I played Help!, I was cooking a meal, trying to get my mind off of this dumb girl thing going on. Then, You’re Gonna Lose That Girl comes on. John just goes on and on, spitting those words out at you. Taunting the guy, really letting him have it. It’s a great song, but it wasn’t good timing.

-The Clash - Career Opportunities Looking for stupid jobs is stupid and jobs are stupid and it’s easier to just listen to the Clash and complain for awhile and then go eat something.

There’s more, but I’ve been answering this question for 90 minutes now. This is hard!
